Air-cooled neoprene backing pad allows air to flow through the hub and around the spirals, carrying away heat and keeping the disc cool. The aluminum hub with 5/8" smooth bore doesn't have threads which allows it to fit more tools. Ideal for sanding applications on metals and fiberglass.
