The 16" Protecta is aptly named as it is designed to protect feet on hazardous job sites. Though this boot is 6.6 lbs it is still heavy duty with fiberglass shank, nylon lining and Trac-Lite sole for solid traction and durability. Premium ZXT rubber is hand laid to ensure quality as well as tear-, ozone-, and chemical resistant and 100% waterproof. Though non-insulated, extra rubber has been added on the toe, vamp and heel areas for additional protection from the work environment. A steel toe and metatarsal guard meets ASTM standards.
